Saturday’s 1-1 draw with promotion contenders Dover Athletic made it four games, four draws for Guiseley under Paul Cox.
The former Mansfield Town manager arrived at Nethemoor Park last month, having resigned as Barrow boss just eight days before.
And while his track record would indicate a sudden upturn in fortunes, that has failed to quite materialise – although the Lions remain undefeated under his tutelage.
Guiseley went ahead against the Whites when John Rooney netted from a free-kick, but his effort was cancelled out by Nortei Nortey just before half-time.
Reflecting on the point, Cox said: “We are moving in the right direction. Defensively we look much improved, the lads are learning from each match.
“We would have liked to have won but it is probably a fair point. That is the aim: now to win the next match, again though, we looked a threat going forward and solid at the back so I’m happy.”
Cox also shed some light on transfers and the injury to Raul Correia: “He has gone for a scan immediately, he was in some discomfort. I hope it isn’t too bad but we know it could see him out for a bit.
“Now is the time to look to add to the squad just a player or two, to add to the quality, if we do that I’d be very happy.”
