National League North strugglers Gainsborough Trinity have appointed former Altrincham Town boss Lee Sinnott as their new manager.
Trinity sit just inside the relegation zone, level on points with Curzon Ashton, who are a place above them in 19th.
Sinnott has been out of management since 2016 after a five-year spell at Altrincham where he won promotion from the Conference North via the play-offs in 2014.
The former Bradford City defender started his managerial career at Farsley Celtic and won three promotions in four seasons before a short spell at Port Vale.
He then managed Bradford Park Avenue before joining Altrincham in 2011.
Upon joining Trinity, Sinnott said: “Gainsborough has always had a great deal of potential when I have visited with other clubs, but the hard work starts now and I can’t wait to turn that potential into reality.”
