Truro City midfielder Connor Riley-Lowe is looking forward to the season’s run-in and is hopeful that the Cornish side will be able to mount a strong promotion push.
City are currently sitting in fifth position in the National League South and have a three point cushion within the play-off positions. Truro have hit an impressive run of form in recent weeks, winning four of their previous five league games.
Riley-Lowe told the club’s official website, ““It’s been a tough run of fixtures, but we have been able to show what we’re all about,”
The left-back continued, “There have been times when we’ve had to battle it out and rode our luck, but we’ve also played some nice football and scored some impressive goals along the way.
“The Gaffer has got us working hard for each other and playing as a team. We go out onto the pitch knowing exactly what is expected of us and with plenty of confidence as a result.
“We’ve reached the most exciting part of the season now where every game becomes bigger than the last one and every point counts.
“The most successful teams are the ones who have a connection with their fans and have the necessary consistency.
“The support that we received at our last home game against Hemel Hempstead Town was superb and really helped to push us on and get back into the game three times to take a point in the end.
“We know that we are lucky to have such loyal fans here who back us home and away and now we need one last big effort to get us over the line.”
Truro face mid-table East Thurrock United at Treyew Road on Saturday.
