The final straight is in sight for the National League teams chasing promotion and fighting relegation.
They say April is the cruellest month, so which teams will be starting off the most crucial month of the season on the back foot?
Our friends at Marathonbet are back once again with their selections for the weekend’s games…
National League
It could be make or break for troubled Chester FC this weekend in their uphill struggle against relegation as they take on promotion-chasing Tranmere Rovers.
The Cheshire-based outfit are without a victory since mid-February, and Micky Mellon’s side will be chomping at the bit to notch up three points after a series of postponements.
Back Tranmere Rovers to win 2-0 at Chester at 29/5 with Marathonbet.
There’s another tasty tie towards the top of the table this weekend as promotion-chasing AFC Fylde go up against a Sutton United who increasingly look like they missed their chance of securing an inaugural National League title.
With Paul Doswell’s men still reeling from a surprise 3-0 reverse at home to mid-table Bromley, The Coasters may be tempted to fly out the blocks as they look to consolidate the final play-off slot.
Back AFC Fylde to be leading at half time at 46/25 with Marathonbet
National League North
Can anyone stop Salford City in their quest for the title? The Ammies are currently locked in a tussle with Harrogate Town for that honour but will be confident of extending their recent good form against a Gainsborough Trinity side running out of time to maintain their National League North status.
A resounding 4-1 win against Spennymoor Town gives Lee Sinnott’s men a flicker of hope coming into this one, and with Salford equally free-scoring of late in front of goal, this could be one for the neutral to keep an eye on.
Back over 3.5 goals at Salford City v Gainsborough Trinity at 127/100 with Marathonbet.
National League South
There’s no room for error for the teams chasing a play off spot in National League South, with six sides realistically still duking it out for three play off slots.
Chelmsford City are one of the clubs waiting to pounce – and will be confident of making that decisive breakthrough against a Poole Town side looking increasingly resigned to relegation after three defeats in four.
Back Chelmsford City to win against Poole Town at 59/100 with Marathonbet.
