After avoiding relegation from the National League by the skin of their teeth on the final day of the season, Barrow have began preparations for next year by announcing their retained and released lists.
It has been announced that six first team players will be released by the Cumbrian club with Harry Panayiotou, Thierry Audel, David Fitzpatrick, Bradley Bauress, Tony Diagne and Byron Harrison all heading for the exit door.
The club have also revealed that captain Asa Hall will be put for sale along with Dan Jones, Bedsente Gomis, Jack Barthram and Jordan White.
Hall joined the Bluebrids after leaving Cheltenham in June 2017 and went on to make 37 appearances for Ady Pennock’s side this season, scoring three goals.
The 31-year-old has previously had spells with a range of clubs including York City, Oxford United and Aldershot Town.
Meanwhile, new contracts will be offered to Moussa Diarra, Nathan Waterston and Donovan Makoma.
Diarra has been with Barrow for the past two years and has been a regular feature in the team’s back line, Waterstone joined the club on a short term deal in March from Workington Reds and went on to make nine first team appearances, while former French youth team international Makoma played 16 times this season after joining the Bluebirds on an initial one-year contract.
