A North Ferriby United phoenix club has been approved by the FA and will start next season in the Northern Counties East League structure.
The club was liquidated in March, bringing to an end 85 years of history over an unpaid debt of £7,645.25 which had been incurred since February 2017.
The new club, named North Ferriby Football Club, will be led by former United chairman Les Hare and shall continue to play at Grange Lane.
The board, made up of high-profile local residents and business, will find out on May 14 at a meeting with the league which NCEL division they will be placed in.
Hare spent 22 years as chairman of North Ferriby before he stepped down in 2015.
