BOTH Lincoln City and Sutton United have been handed huge cash windfalls after being picked for live TV coverage in the FA Cup fifth round.
The National League pair both shocked Championship clubs in round four, making it the first time in history that two Non-League sides have made it through to the last 16.
Lincoln and Sutton were handed £90,000 for beating Brighton and Leeds respectively and they will now receive an even bigger sum.
The FA confirmed last night that both Non-League clubs would be on TV in the next round with Lincoln travelling to Burnley for the 12.30pm kick-off on Saturday, February 18. That tie will be broadcast on BT Sport.
Sutton’s plum tie at home to Premier League giants Arsenal, meanwhile, will take place on Monday, February 20 and be shown on BBC One.
For their troubles, all televised clubs will be given £247,500 for being shown, providing a huge boost for the Non-League clubs still in the world’s oldest cup competition.
