THE West Midlands will host both FA Vase semi-final first legs after Midland League clubs Coleshill Town and Bromsgrove Sporting avoided each other in Monday’s draw.
Bromsgrove, the only remaining club from Step 6, saw off Western League high-flyers Buckland Athletic on Sunday in front of a crowd of 2,984.
They were the first name out of the hat and they were paired with Cleethorpes Town, who won comfortably at Southall on Saturday – the Northern Counties East League leaders running out 5-2 winners.
Coleshill overcame fellow Midland Premier outfit Sporting Khalsa in the quarters and will welcome favourites South Shields to the 3G pitch at their Pack Meadow home in the semi-final first leg.
Shields, who have ex-Premier League man Julio Arca in their ranks, showed why they are favoured by most, thrashing Newport Pagnell Town 6-1 in their quarter-final clash.
Both semi-final legs will take place on Saturday, March 11 with the return games seven days later on Saturday, March 18.
Winners will, of course, book their place in the final at Wembley while also picking up £4,500 in prize money. The losing semi-finalists, meanwhile, take home £1,500.
