ARSENE WENGER has given The NLP rare insight into his past and says his trip to Sutton United this week took him back to a time before the Premier League.
The Gunners overcame the National League side in an eventful evening at Gander Green Lane as their mega stars lived the Non-League life for a night.
“I come from a club which is smaller than Sutton, it reminded me a lot of my childhood!” the Arsenal manager said.
“People mentioned a lot before the game about the changing rooms but I thought they were fantastic. The closer you are the more united you are – and we were very close.
“When you are too far away like you are in some dressing rooms then it’s not so good. I prefer what we had here. The players can hear their manager more!”
