Wrexham bring in goalkeeper Rob Lainton on loan

National League side have completed the signing of goalkeeper Rob Lainton on a season long loan deal from Port Vale.
The 28-year-old began last season as Vale’s first choice goalkeeper but fell down the pecking order as the Staffordshire based club struggled in League Two.
Lainton will bring crucial experience to the Welsh side having previously represented the likes of Bolton Wanderers and Bury.
Speaking to Wrexham’s official club website, the new signing said, ““It’s a fantastic club, a big club and I want to play a part in a successful season for us. There is no doubt when you come here and see the facilities and stature of the club we should be in the League and that’s clearly everyone’s aim here.
“It’s a season-long loan which gives me an opportunity for a new challenge. I’m really looking forward to meeting the rest of the lads this morning and getting started.”
“Hopefully I’ll get some game time against Airbus and Louletano, I’m ready to go. The club have a good pre-season schedule and I’m looking forward to taking part”
