Bromley boss Neil Smith has issued a rallying cry to his players and says they are in a battle at the bottom after they were thumped 5-0 at Solihull Moors on the weekend.
Last season’s FA Trophy finalists have taken just ten points from their opening 12 games and Saturday’s heavy defeat has set alarm bells ringing.
Bromley aim to bounce back from at Kent rivals Ebbsfleet United this evening after what Smith described as their worst performance during his two-year tenure at the club.
“As a group of men we have got to come back and make sure that never happens again.” he said. ” It’s how we react now. Ebbslfeet’s another tough game.
“We are in it, I told the boys that. Don’t think we’re too good not to be in it, we are.
“We’ve had all the glory of last season and everything else and I think maybe the boys are still harbouring on that. We’re not in that situation this season, we’re in a totally different one and I need people wanting to stand up and fight.”
