Aldershot Town boss Danny Searle has made his first signings as Shots boss with the capture of defensive pair Kodi Lyons-Foster and Ollie O’Dwyer.
Lyons-Foster, 22, needs no introduction to Shots fans after playing for the club in 2017. He made seven appearances after joining from Bristol City, before moving on to Whitehawk in the National League South for the remainder of the 2017/18 season.
He made 19 league apperances for the Hawks, scoring four times before joining newly-promoted Braintree Town in the National League. Despite a constant change in the Iron’s playing staff, Lyons-Foster was a regular face in their starting eleven, missing just seven games last season in total. He teams back up with his former boss Searle, who managed him in the latter stages of the 2018/19 season at Braintree.
O’Dwyer, also 22, joins from Premier League side Crystal Palace where he was a regular and commanding presence in their U23 side. The 6’6? defender joined the Eagles as an under-16 in 2013 from Reading and is an imposing defender who is also good on the ball.
