National League South side Truro City have completed the signing of striker Louis Rooney from Northern Irish club Linfield.
The 21-year-old spent a brief period on loan with The White Tigers during the 2016/17 season, which was cruelly curtailed after the young front man suffered a hamstring injury against St Albans in November.
Rooney came through the academy structure at Plymouth Argyle and made an immediate impact when he netted twice on his first-team debut for the Pilgrims in a 5-0 win over Hartlepool in the first game of the 2015-16 season.
However, the striker ultimately found his first team opportunities to be limited at Home Park and after a loan spell with Hartlepool, he moved on to Linfield last summer.
Rooney helped the Blues to a 4th place finish in the Northern Irish top flight last season but has been allowed to seek pastures new this summer.
