CHORLEY boss Garry Flitcroft is in confident mood heading into the Easter weekend – and believes his side deserve to win the Evo-Stik NPL Premier.
The Magpies are away to Whitby Town on Saturday and home to Marine on Bank Holiday Monday, with their fate firmly in their own hands.
A maximum six points and they will be all but crowned champions due to their greater goal difference of 11 over FC United of Manchester and AFC Flyde. And Flitcroft admitted the title is now theirs to lose.
“It is advantage Chorley for sure now,” said the former Manchester City, Blackburn Rovers and Sheffield United midfielder. “We deserve to go up, we’ve just got to keep winning.”
Worksop Town also hold out slim hope of catching Flitcroft’s Chorley, but it would have to be some collapse from the three teams above them.
FC United of Manchester travel to Stamford while AFC Flyde are at home to Grantham Town on Saturday waiting for any slip up from the Magpies.
