FORMER York, Hartlepool and Bradford City man Lee Bullock has been placed in temporary charge of Whitby Town.

The Seasiders sacked manager Darren Williams earlier this week following a four-year spell at the Turnbull Ground.

Player-coach Bullock, 34, joined Williams at Whitby in 2013 and will now be in charge for Saturday’s visit of Mickleover Sports.

He will take training on Thursday evening as the Seasiders prepare for the game, with Whitby desperate for points.

They’ve won just three of their 21 Evo-Stik NPL Premier games so far this season and are already eight points adrift of safety.
