STAFFORD RANGERS have confirmed that Andy Mutch has been handed the role of first team manager on a permanent basis.

Mutch, former boss of Vauxhall Motors, Burscough and Northwich Victoria, took temporary charge of the club in early September following the departure of Greg Clowes.

They have since lost just once in seven games – a 2-0 defeat to Conference North club Boston United – and have registered impressive wins over FC United of Manchester (in the league) and a Stoke City XI (in the Staffordshire Senior Cup).

Mutch’s deal with Rangers runs until the end of the Northern Premier League Premier Division season.
