CHIPPENHAM TOWN have sacked manager Steve Winter and his assistant Adam Tudor following the club’s humiliating 9-0 home defeat to Stourbridge on Tuesday.
The board of the Southern League Premier Division club met on Wednesday evening and decided to dismiss their managerial team.
In a statement following their midweek hammering, the club’s chairman Neil Blackmore said: “I would like to apologise to both the fans and volunteers who work for the club for last nights performance.
“Again indiscipline and poor attitude on the pitch have cost the club.”
Winter arrived at Hardenhuish Park as assistant manager to Nathan Rudge in July this year. Rudge resigned a month later, leaving Winter to take over following a brief spell in caretaker charge.
The Bluebirds struggled under him and Tuesday’s humbling leaves them fourth from bottom in the table with just 12 points from 13 games.
