OLIVER NORBURN popped up with a potential goal of the season contender as Guiseley beat fellow National League new boys Bromley on Saturday.
The former Plymouth Argyle midfielder signed for the Lions in November and has already made a big impact – scoring the first in the 2-0 win against Mark Goldberg’s men.
The 23-year-old found himself in a yard of space and he unleashed a sweetly struck effort that arrowed into the top left-hand corner, well out of the reach of Bromley keeper Chris Kettings.
Guiseley boss Mark Bower told the Telegraph & Argus: “Sides at this level are always capable of producing that one flash of inspiration or brilliance and it could have come – like Oli’s goal that flew in from 25 yards, while he’d had one earlier that hit the bar.
“But Oli has that in his game – he’s able to do something out of the ordinary – and it is players like that who make all the difference.”
