ALDERSHOT TOWN have signed former Maidstone United striker Alfie Pavey on a 28-day loan from League One side Millwall.
The 20-year-old has got six substitute appearances under his belt for the Lions this season having made his debut against Wolves last May.
Pavey started out at Maidstone but quickly attracted interest from the professional game after a mammoth 300 goals in three years for the Stones’ youth side.
He signed for Millwall in 2013 and signed a two-and-a-half year deal with the Lions in December 2014 before spending a brief spell on loan at Conference champions Barnet last season.
The young forward is available for the Shots’ game against Chester on Saturday as Barry Smith’s side look to secure their first win in four games.
“Alfie is a striker with a good pedigree who comes highly-recommended to us,” said Smith. “He’s received good coaching at Millwall and was wanted by a number of National League clubs during this transfer window, so I’m delighted that he has chosen Aldershot Town for the next stage in his development.”
