Joe Howe signs for Bromley after six years at Ebbsfleet United

FORMER defender Joe Howe has signed for Kent rivals Bromley after six years at Stonebridge Road.

The 28-year-old started his career at MK Dons and after spells at , Athletic and Athletic, joined Ebbsfleet in 2010.

He made 234 appearances for the Fleet but found starts hard to come by towards the end of last season after returning from injury.

Howe was brought back into the side for the South play-offs, however, as Ebbsfleet lost in the promotion final to .

He was released days after the defeat following talks with boss Daryl McMahon but he will be turning out in ‘s top tier next season with Bromley.

Howe told the club’s website: “I’m delighted to have signed for Bromley and begin a new challenge.

“Neil Smith is a manager I’ve worked with in the past and I’m looking forward to working with him again, his enthusiasm is infectious and he’s a manager that you want to give your best for.”

Smith added: “I am really pleased, we have been talking to a few players since the end of the season and its fantastic that Joe has agreed to come on board.

“He is a right-back that I’ve admired for a few years now and he will be a great addition to the squad.”
