ADAM WATKINS has returned to Luton Town after completing a loan spell with their Blue Square Bet Premier rivals Kidderminster Harriers.
The midfielder joined Harriers on a one-month deal in late September and went on to make four appearances for them in the league.
However, he was not given permission to play in the FA Cup by his parent club and that resulted in him losing his place in the starting 11 following Kyle Storer’s impressive performance against Grimsby Town on October 20.
Harriers boss Steve Burr would have liked to have kept Watkins but decided against extending the loan as he had a number of options available to him in the Kiddy squad.
Speaking to the club’s website, he said: “We’ve let Adam go back to Luton but would like to have held on to him a bit longer.
“His contribution whilst he was here was a good one.
“It was a shame that Luton didn’t want him to feature for us in the FA Cup but also understandable, after the performance of the lads at Grimsby it would’ve been very hard for him to just step back into the side.
“We will keep an eye on Adam’s situation but I’d have to move a few things around here first before I could do anything.”
