BARROW chairman Paul Casson has told the club’s fans to enjoy watching winger Jordan Williams as it will take a “miracle” to keep hold of him in January.
The 23-year-old has got a number of Football League clubs interested in his services after putting in a string of impressive displays for Paul Cox‘s side.
Williams has scored four times for the Bluebirds this season, including a wonderful 25-yard volley in Tuesday night’s 3-0 win over Guiseley.
Barrow won the race for Williams’ signature back in January after he impressed at Step 4 club Northwich Victoria following his move from Burscough.
But Barrow chairman Casson doesn’t think he’ll be plying his trade at Holker Street for much longer although the club are said to be holding out for a large fee after rejecting bids in the summer.
“Jordan keeps adding things to his game,” Casson told the North-West Evening Mail. “The goal he scored against Taunton in the FA Cup replay, he hit that shot with his right foot, and he’s naturally left-footed.
“He works so hard, and he’s not pretty much two-footed if you look at the way he plays. He’s adding things to his game all the time.
“It affects the way that he play. He really does work on it, so sometimes you can see bits, but when you are developing new skills like that it can throw you off your game for a little while.
“He’s a very special player. If we manage to keep hold of him in January, it will be a miracle. I would tell the Barrovian public just to enjoy watching him while you have got him.”
