National League:

Lincoln City extended their lead at the top of the National League table thanks to a midweek win at Braintree, with Forest Green having capitalised upon defeats for both Tranmere Rovers and Dagenham & to move up to second in the table. Meanwhile at the bottom of the table, both York City and North Ferriby gave their survival chances a boost with home wins.

There is another jam-packed week of action to look forward to, with fixtures on both Saturday and Tuesday set to have a significant impact on the standings. The biggest encounter of the weekend undoubtedly comes at Victoria Road as fourth placed host an in-form , with the visitors having won four from their last five in the league. Just two points separate the duo, with John Still’s men looking to claim a first win in three.

Elsewhere at the top, having won their last five outings, Gateshead’s excellent form will be put to the test away at , with the Welsh side still harbouring an outside hope of reaching the play-offs come the end of the campaign. Gateshead face two fixtures in just four days as they take on Macclesfield on Tuesday evening.

At the bottom of the pile, Southport host in what is a must win game for Andy Preece’s team, with the Sandgrounders now six points away from safety. North Ferriby hunt for a third consecutive win away at a Bromley side without a win in five, with Woking looking to steer clear of trouble against a team with little to play for.

National League North:

It was a week of shocks in the National League North, with none of the top seven teams managing to claim three points. AFC Fylde needed a late goal to rescue a draw at Harrogate Town, however with both Salford City and Kidderminster Harriers losing, the league leaders extended their lead to 11 points. Saturday brings a full schedule of fixtures, with plenty to play for at both ends of the table.

Salford face another difficult away trip, this time against a Brackley Town side who are just three points away from the play-offs thanks to just one defeat in their last five. Meanwhile, Bradford Park Avenue’s encounter with FC has connotations at both ends of the standings, with the visitors looking to cement their place in the top six, while Mark Bower’s side remain just two points clear of the relegation zone.

National League South: 

It was business as usual in the National League South this week, with ‘s narrow away win at Chelmsford City keeping them at the top of the table, just a single point ahead of Ebbsfleet. and Poole Town consolidated their play-off positions, with the chasing pack, Hampton & Richmond and St Albans City dropping points unexpectedly.

A full schedule of fixtures on Saturday means that all teams are involved, with the top three all facing potentially tricky away fixtures. The league leaders take on , while Ebbsfleet and Dartford face St Albans and Concord Rangers respectively, with it all still to play for at the top of the pile.

Chelmsford City will be looking to recover from their defeat at home to Maidenhead against Eastbourne Borough, however with Tommy Widdrington’s team having won their last two, the Essex side are unlikely to have things their own way at the Melbourne Stadium.
