DARTFORD have secured the services of former Dagenham & Redbridge player Richard Rose.
The 29-year-old, who can play in either defence or midfield, began his career at Gillingham and went on to make over 50 appearances for them between 2000 and 2006.
After leaving the Gills he linked up with Hereford United and remained a regular at Edgar Street until leaving the Bulls in the summer of 2011.
He spent last season with Dagenham but was limited to just nine starts in League Two.
Rose had another year to run on his deal at Victoria Road but has now negotiated his exit from the Daggers and linked up with the Darts.
Speaking about the signing, Darts boss Tony Burman said: “We’ve been talking to Richard for quite a while and we’ve finally done a deal.
“Richard is a right back but can play anywhere across the back and in midfield, and we need someone who can cover positions. I’m delighted to have someone of his calibre and experience signing for us.”
