LONG-SERVING utility man Matt Wilson has been released by Conference Premier club Alfreton Town.
The 25-year-old was an integral part of the club’s squad when they secured promotion from the Blue Square Bet North in 2010/11.
However, he has found opportunities few and far between in the Conference National and has featured just once this season, while also spending three months on loan at Boston United.
Meanwhile, Reds boss Nicky Law has drafted in Grimsby Town midfielder Louie Soares on loan until the end of the season.
Soares, 28, has played 15 times for the Mariners since joining them in January last year and has also spent time on loan at Ebbsfleet United.
The former Reading, Aldershot, Southend and Hayes & Yeading midfielder will remain at the Impact Arena until April 20.
He will not be allowed to feature in the game between his parent club and Alfreton on February 2.
