DANNY O’DONNELL has joined Conference Premier relegation battlers Barrow.
The centre-back was due to sign for the Bluebirds earlier this month but the transfer embargo placed upon the club prevented him completing his move from Stockport County.
Once the embargo was lifted, O’Donnell was free to sign for Barrow but opted to remain with the Hatters in the hope he could force his way into their squad following Jim Gannon’s sacking as manager.
However, the ex-Crewe and Shrewsbury defender was not involved with their matchday squad against Forest Green Rovers at the weekend and has now secured a move to Holker Street.
The 26-year-old’s deal runs until the end of the 2013/14 season but includes a relegation clause.
O’Donnell represented Stockport County in the FA Trophy earlier this term so he is not eligible for his new side’s Third Round tie with Gateshead this weekend.
