FOREST GREEN ROVERS have confirmed the signing of Watford defender Dale Bennett.
The 23-year-old – a product of the Hornets’ academy – has signed a two-and-a-half year deal after passing a medical at the New Lawn.
Bennett made over 20 appearances for Watford and has also played first-team football during loan spells with Wealdstone, Brentford, Kettering Town, AFC Wimbledon and Yeovil Town.
He is a player well-known to Rovers boss David Hockday, who was involved with the running of the youth teams at Watford in the early 2000s.
