LUTON boss John Still has been reunited with Solomon Taiwo – the creative midfielder who came to prominence while playing under him at Dagenham & Redbridge.
Still signed Taiwo from Sutton United while in charge of the Daggers in 2007 and the 27-year-old went on to become an integral part of their first-team.
His performances for the Essex side earned him a move to Championship side Cardiff City in 2009 but he failed to win a regular spot in the Bluebirds’ side and was loaned back to Dagenham in 2010/11.
The 27-year-old spent a spell on loan with Leyton Orient last season before being released by Cardiff in the summer.
He has since had brief stints with Non-League sides Mansfield Town and Bromley.
Still is pleased to have brought Taiwo to Kenilworth Road but says it may be some time before his gets his Hatters debut.
Speaking to the club’s website, Still said: “Solomon is a bright boy, and a strong and good passing footballer who can really compete.
“He is by no means fit to be included straight away, but once he’s up and at it he will be a really great addition to the squad.”
