FOREST GREEN ROVERS have announced a huge increase in attendances over the past season.
Rovers had looked like contenders for Conference Premier promotion early in the season but they challenge faltered and then finished tenth in the division.
Despite that disappointment, the fan figures look very good, with a 44 per cent increase in fans through the gate and a 78 per cent revenue increase from the 2011/12 campaign.
Speaking about the impressive figures, Rovers chairman Dale Vince told the club’s website: “More people are coming to Forest Green to watch football and enjoy the matchday experience.
“These are two things we’ve improved and fans are voting with their feet.
“It’s a great step forward for the club as we push for Football League status and something to celebrate.”
