WREXHAM saw young striker Bradley Reid sign for Wolverhampton Wanderers on transfer deadline day.
The Dragons have not revealed the fee they have received for the 17-year-old, with chief executive officer Don Bircham telling the club’s official website: “The financial terms of the agreement are to remain confidential which is common practice and a general requirement of the buying club.
“I can, however, assure you all that both myself and Barry Horne have negotiated hard over the past weeks to secure the very best deal for club, which has been constructed to include an initial cash sum and staged payments as the player’s career progresses.”
However, the figure is thought to be in the region of £200,000 – a sizable amount considering the frontman’s age and his limited senior experience.
Reid had scored once in five games for Wrexham and will in fact get the opportunity to add to that total as Wolves have agreed to loan him back to Wrexham for a month.
The Dragons’ next Skrill Premier game comes away at Nuneaton Town on Saturday afternoon.
