Two positive results for Ascot United in the Uhlsport Hellenic Premier this week as they made it three games unbeaten with a 5-2 win at Holyport on Saturday and a 0-0 draw with promotion chasing Binfield on Monday night.
The results were marred though by a nasty facial injury to new signing Josh Warren, who scored against Holyport – finished the night in hospital, but is thankfully back at home according to the Yellamen website.
Saturday’s only other league tie due to the majority of sides being in League Cup action, saw Thame United inflict a 3-2 defeat on Flackwell Heath at Wilks Park, while on Tuesday night Wokingham & Emmbrook came away from Highworth Town with a 3-0 win.
In Division 1 West, struggling Clanfield earned some much needed points with a 4-1 win at Lydney Town.
Division 1 East saw Bracknell Town pick up three points on the promotion trail with a 3-0 win at home to AFC Hinksey, who had Keiran Davis needlessly sent off for and unprovoked stamp on Eddie Gray. The Robins goals came from Shane Cooper-Clark, Josh Delander and Tom Barratt.
