Clubhouse Is Priority For Camelford FC

FC are one of the oldest clubs in Cornwall competing in the Cornwall Senior League before joining the South . In 1961 they became founder members of the East Cornwall Premier League.

For over 100 years they played nearby at Tregoodwell but relocated to Trefrew Park in 2006. Since then they have  grown to three adult mens’ teams, started a youth development programme and currently have five youth teams. The
club have also achieved two promotions in four years to reach Step 6.

Camelford FC Paul TisdaleWELL DONE: Exeter City boss Paul Tisdale presents Camelford chairman Mark Tapley with a Club Futures plaque.

With their £50,000 grant Camelford will be installing ground-mounted 50kw solar panels covering an area of approximately 0.3ha at the club site.

Working with community energy partners, Be Green, this development will act as a pilot scheme which, if successful, could be offered to other clubs within the Cornwall region.

If they win the Super Grant the club will also invest in a clubhouse and buy extra land for youth pitches. They are the only team in the league without their own clubhouse, which is not ideal for hosting visitors.

A clubhouse would also provide more opportunity to raise funds to support the running of the club. To vote for Camelford FC visit facebook.com/budweiseruk from January 28 and watch the video on why they should win.
